Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F)
Comments: Parent plant: From New Guinea. Medium-sized plant. Plant habit is reason enough to grow this beauty. Flowers are 1 cm and brown, last 2-3 weeks, blooms 1-3 times per year. Alas, no keikis; grows from just one stem. Divisions have not been successful. Eventually gets to 1 meter tall. Leaves are 10-15 cm.

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northern Papua New Guinea. Plants grow on isolated trees
on the hot plains at the foot of the Bismarck Range. They are most often
found at about 500 ft. (150 m), where they are exposed to continuous heat
and frequent drought.
