The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker
The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, and Guyana. In Venezuela,
this orchid grows in the State of Bolivar on trees on the bank of the Río
Icabarú below its confluence with the Río Uaiparú. Habitat elevation was
not reorted, but topographical maps indicate that the terrain in this
region is approximately 1650 ft. (500 m). In Brazil, plants grow in hot,
humid lowlands in the State of Amazonas. Some references indicate that
this orchid grows in Guyana and Colombia, but we have not seen any
detailed habitat information for those regions.
