The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Australia. This species is distributed from about the
Hastings River (near 32S latitude) in northeastern New South Wales
northward through Queensland to the Atherton Tableland in southeastern
part of the Cape York Peninsula. Plants grow attached to moss and lichen
covered rocks in conditions that vary from rather sheltered to moderately
exposed. They are found on mountains and plateaus in rainforests and open
forests, usually at elevations above 1500 ft. (460 m).
