Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). It grows mounted on cork. Seems to prefer bright light, but not direct sun. Growth in summer, winter dormancy, and spikes in spring.
Comments: Parent plant: This leafless was purchased as a seedling from Hoosier as lunifera. One source indicates it may be Chiloschista javonica due to the markings on petals and sepals, and the fine hair on the flowers. Flowers do not seem to open out flat, but rather remain somewhat cup-shaped. Inflorescence is about 3.5 inches long, this photo is end-on. Miniature.

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker
The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Southern Asia, including Burma, Sikkim, northeastern
India, northern Thailand, and Laos. This orchid was found originally near
Moulmein, Burma, but later collections show that the habitat extends
across northeastern India and Burma into northern Thailand and Laos.
Plants usually grow on trees in the deciduous forests and warmer lower
valleys. In Thailand, plants are most often found at 1850–2600 ft.
(560–800 m).
