ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peninsular Thailand, Malaya, Sumatra, and Borneo. Few
details about the habitat have been reported for this orchid. In Thailand,
plants have been collected near Phangnga on the west coast of the
peninsula. In Malaya, plants are said to grow as a lowland epiphyte in the
northern half of the country, and collections have been made in the states
of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Pinang. Plants have been
collected at several locations in Sumatra, but no habitat information is
available for Borneo collections.
