ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Philippines. This orchid was described in 1991 from
plants grown in cultivation. Specific details of habitat location and
elevation were not given, but Siegerist (2001) reported that plants "can
be grown in a warm to intermediate setting in a basket of pot with the
usual loose mix, protection from direct sunlight, and regular, copious
watering." Climatological data and elevation have been selected based on
this information, but the resulting climate table and cultural suggestions
should be used rather cautiously until actual habitat information is
known.
