The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: This widespread, epiphytic orchid is found through the
Caribbean from eastern Cuba, the West Indie, and Trinidad. Distribution
extends into Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil in South America, and into
western Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras in Central America.
Plants usually are pendent on trunks and larger branches of trees in lower
elevation rainforest at 3300-4900 ft. (1000-1500 m).
