Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F)
Comments: Possibly the largest member of the genus vegatively and florally. A prolific bloomer with sweetly scented ephemeral flowers.
Parent plant: The pictured plant has growths of 5 feet (1.5 m) and flowers of c. 4 inches (10 cm).

ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Philippine Islands. This orchid is widespread
throughout the islands where is grows on trees. It is found on the islands
of Bohol, Basilan, Balabac, Leyte, Luzon, Mindanao, Mindoro, Palawan,
Polillo, and Samar below 1700 ft. (525 m). On Luzon Island, it is found in
the provinces of Bataan, Benguet, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, and Sorsogon. On
Mindanao Island, the plant grows in the provinces of Agusen, Davao, and
Surigao.
