Pollen Parent Blooming Plant

Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range Intermediate 83-60°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F. Originally grown mounted on tree fern, then moved to pot, with plant still on tree fern, which is then halfway placed into the potting mix. So it is half mounted, half potted. While literature says it is cool to cold-growing, in my experience it is tolerant of intermediate conditions, and can handle short periods of temps above 90°F. Potted in small and medium Orchiata bark with sponge rock and charcoal.

Comments: Pod parent plant: Small plant. Purchased as a young plant from Petite Plaisance in 2008, along with a plant that could be its sibling, 'Hagen'. Native to eastern Papua New Guinea at elevations of 1800 to 2200 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte.
