Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range Warm 90-70°F. Cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F. Grown under high pressure sodium or metal halide lights during the winter. Outside on deck in Minnesota under a large oak tree in the summer. Will be changing to basket culture soon as plant has made its preference known. Potted in a fir bark mix with charcoal and perlite.
Comments: Parent plant: Pseudobulbs from 4 inches to 14 inches. Four leaves 12 inches on largest pseudobulb. Large plant.

Availability: We have approximately 120 plants in intermediate-stage flasks available for immediate reflasking for you. Because the plants are already so far along, these flasks will take a relatively short time to mature.
You should: Reserve a flask now so that we can make it for you. If you don't reserve, the plants won't be reflasked.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In Mexico, plants are found in the States of Veracruz and Chiapas where they grow in shady forests at 1000-3300 ft. (300-1000 m). Over most of their range, these plants grow in wet mountain forests on slopes facing the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean at elevations up to about 5900 ft. (1800 m). Although usually epiphytic, plants are sometimes found growing lithophytically.
