The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru. The type specimen of this terrestrial orchid was
discovered in the department of Huánuco near Tingo María in the Cordillera
Azul. It was growing in scrub forest at 5600 ft. (1700 m). Plants have
also been seen in the department of Cuzco, but details of the habitat
there were not reported.
