Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range Warm-Intermediate 87-64°F, cooler season Cool-Intermediate 75-58°F. Spring, summer, and fall, it was fed weekly using the MSU formula for RO water (13-3-15). Fed sparingly (on the order of monthly to every two weeks, depending on my schedule) through the winter months. Potted in fir bark, perlite, charcoal mix.
 
Comments: Parent plant: Purchased from Botanica, Ltd. in June of 2010. Miniature. Blooms mid to late January. Flowers smell faintly of honey. Softest pink with distinct pink veining on the lip.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. This species is found primarily in the states of São Paulo and Paraná, but the habitat extends for a short distance into southern Minas Gerais. Plants usually grow in drier inland areas far from the coast. They are generally found on forest trees along small rivers in shaded, humid habitats. In Minas Gerais, however, where plants are less common, they grow in very bright conditions on small trees on rocky hills or sometimes even on the rocks themselves. Near Piracicaba, plants grow at 1650–1950 ft. (500–600 m).
