ORIGIN/HABITAT: Banos, Ecuador and Tarapoto, Peru. No habitat or
microclimate details are available. However, Banos has an elevation of
6002 ft. (1829 m) and Tarapoto is at 4585 ft. (1398 m), fairly high on the
east slopes of the Andes.
