Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 545 plants (based on flask surveys done 09/09/2010 through 08/02/2012)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 5 - 100 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 09/28/2010 through 07/16/2012)
From one most recently surveyed flask 5 - 20 mm (07/16/2012)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northern South America. These "mule-eared" plants grow in hot, low, wet, tropical forests in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Guyana, Surinam, Trinidad, and the West Indies. In Venezuela, plants are found at low elevations in the states of Bolivar, Monagas, Sucre, and in the Federal Territory of Delta Amacuro. The habitat extends into the Amazon Basin of Brazil and Peru. Collections have been made in Peru near Iquitos at 660 ft. (200 m) and near Tarapoto, along the road to Yurimaguas, at 1800 ft. (550 m).
