Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
364 plants (based on flask surveys done 04/20/2010 through 04/27/2011)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 20 - 120 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 08/09/2010 through 11/09/2011)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. In Colombia, plants grow in
the Department of Antioquia at fairly high elevations. In Ecuador, plants
are found at several locations on the eastern slopes of the Andes in
Morona-Santiago Province and some collections are reported between Cuenca
and Gualaquiza at 6400 ft. (1950 m) and between Cuenca and Límon at 6550
ft. (2000 m). Plants occur in several locations in Napo Province between
Baeza and Tena at 6050-6550 ft. (1850-2000 m). Plants grow on steep
embankments in extremely wet forests and some collections are reported
from as high as 7850 ft. (2400 m). We did not find any specific
information about habitat location or elevation in Peru.
