The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. Plants were first found in the state of Goiás near the Rio Araguaia in the vicinity of Pium. Plants grew at 1300-1950 ft. (400-600 m) in shaded positions on small branches located low on the trees.
