Comments: Parent plant: Rudolf Jenny examined photos and pickled flowers of this plant, and stated on 1/3/2000, "This is identical to the new species from Peru, Stanhopea greerii Jenny, previously named S. krameriana. The species will be described in the near future."

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru. Found in mountain forest near Moyobamba in the
department of San Martín at about 3600 ft. (1100 m).
