Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 45 plants (based on flask surveys done 03/07/2007 through 04/08/2008)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 25 - 100 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 03/25/2008 through 01/20/2009)
From one most recently surveyed flask 25 - 80 mm (01/20/2009)

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Distribution extends from the Andaman Islands through Mynamar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaya, and into Sumatra. Plants have been found in most of the provinces in Thailand, usually growing in grassland or waste land. This orchid is found on the Vientiane Plain in Laos, and it has been collected near Pursat in Cambodia, with collections from several locations in Vietnam. In Malaya, plants have been recorded from Langkawi, Gunung Geriang in Kedah, Bukit Lagi in Perlis and Pinang. Plants have been collected in North Sumatra, but the species is not at all common there. Habitat elevation was not reported, but we have estimated the elevation on the fact that the species is found in the low-lying Andaman Islands where elevations are generally below 2300 ft. (700 m).
