Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: I grow this plant in a very bright greenhouse with temperatures ranging from 50-95°F. The low is the minimum night temperature during the winter, and the high is the maximum day temperature during the summer. This is an easy to grow species if it has enough humidity. This genus can get spider mites in a low humidity environment.
 
Comments: The plants flowered while quite small--this plant is in a 6" pot and had 2 spikes with 2 flowers each. The flowers were pure white and stayed fresh for over a week even after pollination.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru. Plants have been collected at 350 ft. (100 m) near Iquitos in the Department of Loreto. These plants, which grow in hot, tropical forests, are frequently associated with ant nests.
