The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Widespread in Southeast Asia. The habitat includes Malaya,
Sumatra, Borneo, Thailand, Java, the Sulu Archipelago, and the Philippine
Islands. Plants grow near Pattani, Thailand at about 2950 ft. (900 m).
They are found in the hills of northwest Malaya at 2500-3000 ft. (760-910
m), and were recently collected in Java, southwest of Bogor on Mt.
Halimum, at about 2600 ft. (800 m). On Luzon Island in the Philippines,
they are found in the mountains east of Manila. Plants normally grow in
moderately exposed locations at moderate elevations. In Malaya, plants
grow on low trees and stumps.
