ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador and Peru. Plants grow on cloudforest trees in
southeastern Ecuador and northeastern Peru. They have been found in the
Ecuadorian Province of Morona-Santiago near Bomboiza at about 5600 ft.
(1700 m), while in Peru they grow near Tarapoto in the Department of
Amazonas.
