The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia and Venezuela. In Colombia, plants are reportedly
grow at 3300-8200 ft. (1000-2500 m) but no additional habitat information
is available. In Venezuela, plants were collected in the Federal District
near Caracas in the Cordillera de la Costa at 5600-6550 ft. (1700-2000 m),
in the State of Aragua near Colonia Tovar at 4100 ft. (1250 m), and in the
State of Mérida at 5900-6900 ft. (1800-2100 m)
