ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia and Venezuela. In Colombia, plants are reportedly grow at 3300-8200 ft. (1000-2500 m) but no additional habitat information is available. In Venezuela, plants were collected in the Federal District near Caracas in the Cordillera de la Costa at 5600-6550 ft. (1700-2000 m), in the State of Aragua near Colonia Tovar at 4100 ft. (1250 m), and in the State of Mérida at 5900-6900 ft. (1800-2100 m)
