ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia. This orchid has been found in the Eastern
Cordillera of the Andes the Departments of Cundinamarca and Boyacá and in
the Andes of Southern Colombia in the Departments of Cauca, Putumayo, and
Nariño. Plants grow as epiphytes in clearings and at the forest edge in
cloudforest regions at elevations of 5900-9850 ft. (1800-3000 m).
