The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. In Mexico, plants are known
only from the eastern slopes and foothills in Chiapas where they grow as
epiphytes in the lowlands and lower mountain rainforest from 1000—4900 ft.
(300—1500 m). Plants reportedly also occur in Guatemala and Belize, but we
have been unable to find any specific information on the habitat in those
areas.
