ORIGIN/HABITAT: Widespread in Nepal, Bhutan, northeastern India, Burma,
Thailand, Laos, and Malaya. Plants are usually found at 1000-3300 ft.
(300-1000 m). In Malaya, plants grow in primary forests on large trees
that overhang rivers.
