The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Nepal through northern India, including Sikkin, Assam, and
the Khasia Hills. Plants also grow in northeast Burma with distribution
extending into Yunnan province of southwest China. Plants normally grow in
shade in damp, relatively warm forests at 985-5580 ft. (300-1700 m).
