Flask Information
Availability: We have approximately 180 plants in intermediate-stage flasks available for immediate reflasking for you. Because the plants are already so far along, these flasks will take a relatively short time to mature.
You should: Reserve a flask now so that we can make it for you. If you don't reserve, the plants won't be reflasked.
Yield Estimate: 1388 plants (based on flask surveys done 01/19/2022 through 03/09/2024)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 2 - 40 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 01/19/2022 through 10/21/2023)
From one most recently surveyed flask 20 - 40 mm (10/21/2023)
Expected Flask Price: $46.75 per flask of 25 (min.) plants
Plants require 2 or more years in flask so there is an additional charge (included) for materials and labor.

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Very little is known about the original habitat. The type specimen was reportedly found in the Sikkim region of northeast India, “in the hills beyond Darjeeling.” No particulars are given. However, Darjeeling is located at about 7000 ft. (2130 m). On the other hand, B. wendlandianum is found in several locations at 660-4920 ft. (200-1500 m) through northwestern Thailand.
