The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru. In Brazil, plants are reported
in the State of Amazonas, but no additional information is provided. In
Ecuador, plants have been collected on the eastern slopes of the Andes
near Puyo in Pastaza Province and near Río Yasuri at 800 ft. (200 m) in
Napo Province. They grow in shade on trees in wet forest habitat at 3300
ft. (1000 m). In Peru, this orchid was collected on the eastern slopes of
the Andes near Leoncio Prado, which is located in the eastern part of the
Department of Huánuco. The plants were found in wet forest at 2200 ft.
(670 m).
