The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sumatra, Malaya, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China,
and the Philippines. In China, plants grow in Kwangtung, Hainan and Hong
Kong at 1950-4150 ft. (600-1260 m). In Sumatra, Schlechter collected a
single plant from a tree near Padang at about 100 ft. (30 m). Plants often
grow on trees near streams.
