Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 458 plants (based on flask surveys done 05/14/2014 through 01/08/2016)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 5 - 70 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 07/29/2015 through 01/07/2017)
From one most recently surveyed flask 30 - 70 mm (01/07/2017)

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. Habitat location and elevation for this species is uncertain. As it was previously considered a variety of Laelia lucasiana, however, we have elected to use the habitat information reported for that species with Hoffmannseggella fournieri. The resulting climate table and cultural suggestions should be used with caution, however. Plants originally identified as Laelia lucasiana were found in the state of Minas Gerais east of Belo Horizonte in the Serra do Piedade, Serra da Caraca, and Serra de Ouro Prêto. They grow among lichens in fully exposed locations at 4600-5600 ft. (1400-1700 m).
