Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range Warm 90-70°F, cooler season Cool 70-52°F. Hot to cool growing, direct, unfiltered southern sun all year. Minimum humidity 60%. Watered: Winter every 1 to 2 weeks, Summer 1 to 2 times a week. Fertilize 1 to 2 times a month during Summer. Mounted on a cork slab.
Comments: This spontaneous pollination is most likely a selfing.
Parent plant: Flower size: 1.75 to 2 inches, Color: Olive Green/Purple markings on lip, fragrant. Clustered pseudobulbs, 2-3 leaves. Bloom: late-Spring through Summer. Medium-sized plant.

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and
Nicaragua. In Mexico, plants have been found in Chiapas where they grow in
rather dry oak forests at 3300-4900 ft. (1000-1500 m). In El Salvador,
plants have been found on Cerro Montecristo at 6150 ft. (1875 m) and at
mile 9 (km. 16) on the Camino de Dulce Nombre de María a San Fernando at
5100 ft. (1550 m). Plants have been found in Honduras in the mountains in
the vicinity of Tegucigalpa at 4550-4900 ft. (1380-1500 m). In Nicaragua,
plants have been found at several locations in the mountains near the
border with Honduras at 2150-4250 ft. (660-1300 m).
