Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
184 plants (based on flask surveys done 05/18/2010 through 05/20/2011)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 15 - 100 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 05/18/2010 through 11/22/2011)
From one most recently surveyed flask 50 - 80 mm (11/22/2011)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: According to Dr. Phillip Cribb and David du Puy, the exact
location of the habitat is unknown. This species has been collected only
once, and all plants now in cultivation are derived from that original
collection. It was reportedly made near Bhamo in northern Burma close to
the border with Yunnan Province, China. Because it is less cold hardy than
C. tracyanum and C. lowianum, C. suavissimum was probably collected in
lower valleys near Bhamo at 2600-3300 ft. (800-1000 m) in evergreen,
tropical, lower montane forest.
