Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F)
 
Comments: Parent plant: This is a small plant with a compact growth habit. It is a reliable spring bloomer given adequate light and moisture. We grow this in 65% full sun in Hawaii in a pot that is filled with its roots and a few bark chips.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. This species is found in the region around Diamantina in the state of Minas Gerais at 3200–4600 ft. (980–1400 m). Plants grow on sandstone with their roots protected by moss, lichens, and other low-growing vegetation.
