Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
514 plants (based on flask surveys done 08/06/2009 through 07/28/2011)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 10 - 120 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 11/09/2009 through 01/23/2012)
From one most recently surveyed flask 40 - 60 mm (01/23/2012)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Borneo, Java, Malaya, and Sumatra. On Borneo, this orchid
is found in lowland or lower montane forest from the lowlands up to 3950
ft. (1200 m). In Sumatra, plants have been collected from Batang Palupu in
West Sumatra at 3950 ft. (1200 m). In Malaya, this is a lowland species
that has been found in all parts of the country where it grows on trees
and rocks in moist, shady forest. Although reportedly occurring in Java,
we found no record of its collection or sighting there, and the
distribution in Java was not indicated by Comber (1990) or Comber (2001)
