Flask Information
Availability: We have sold all of the flasks for this item.
You should: Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask.
You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.

You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.

You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had.
Yield Estimate: 420 plants (based on flask surveys done 06/30/2005 through 06/23/2006)
Yield estimates are only approximate, but may appear to be fairly exact numbers because they are a combination of large rough estimates in remaining mother flasks and more accurate small estimates in reflasks.
Plantlet Sizes: From many flasks 1 - 60 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 12/17/2004 through 03/23/2007)
From one most recently surveyed flask 20 - 50 mm (03/23/2007)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. This rare species is found in coastal mountains in the southern part of the state of Espírito Santo at about 1000 ft. (300 m). Plants grow on rocky slopes protected by Vellozia shrubs. Plants known as Laelia macrobulbosa are found further inland to the north and west near the village of Conceição de Castelo. They grow on rocks at a much higher elevation of about 5250 ft. (1600 m).
