Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
320 plants (based on flask surveys done 11/15/2005 through 09/18/2006)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 3 - 70 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 02/25/2005 through 05/11/2007)
From one most recently surveyed flask 15 - 35 mm (05/11/2007)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil and Peru. In Brazil, plants are found in the states
of Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais. They have
been reported from the Organ Mountains as well as near Caldas and in
Bananal Province in the state of Minas Gerais. Although the elevations of
these Brazilian habitats have not reported, plants were reported to grow
on mossy rocks or trees in the dark, damp recesses of forests.
Schweinfurth (ref. ) reported that this species also occurs in Peru where
plants were found near Tarma in the Department of Junín. They were growing
on a small tree at 6550 ft. (2000 m) on a grassy mountain slope.
