The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Borneo to the Philippines. In the Philippines, this orchid
is common on islands in the Sulu (Jolo) Archipelago and in the coastal
hills of Mindanao Island where plants have been found in the provinces of
Bukidnon, North and South Cotabato, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao
del Sur, and Lanao del Norte. Plants usually grow at elevations up to 3300
ft. (1990 m) where it grows in dense shade on tree trunks and branches. In
Borneo, plants have been found in Kalimantan, Sabah, and in lowland and
hill forests in Sarawak at 350-1650 ft. (100-500 m).
