Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F). Warmth loving member of the generally cool-growing Formosum (Nigrahirsutae) tribe. Absolutely must have high light and moderate-high humidity. This is a hardy plant, but it will sulk unless it is mounted or potted in a pot with perfect drainage. Readily forms keikis off of the base of the main stems. Likes a slight rest in winter.
Comments: Parent plant: Not difficult to flower. Flowers are creamy green with a interesting blood-red lip. Flowers appear to open more fully than other individuals of this species--dorsal sepal lifts to 90 degree angle instead of usual 45 degree angle. Otherwise, it is fairly typical plant for this species. Fragrant, though not especially pleasant. Absolutely stunning flower color. Medium-sized plant.

Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
440 plants (based on flask surveys done 01/22/2004 through 06/24/2004)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 1 - 80 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 12/26/2003 through 05/13/2005)
