ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peninsular Thailand, Malaya, Sumatra, and Borneo. Few details about the habitat have been reported for this orchid. In Thailand, plants have been collected near Phangnga on the west coast of the peninsula. In Malaya, plants are said to grow as a lowland epiphyte in the northern half of the country, and collections have been made in the states of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Pinang. Plants have been collected at several locations in Sumatra, but no habitat information is available for Borneo collections.
