Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
630 plants (based on flask surveys done 03/07/2003 )
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 15 - 45 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 08/06/2003 through 09/17/2003)
From one most recently surveyed flask 25 - 40 mm (09/17/2003)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Southeast India, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Vietnam,
China, and Taiwan. We have been unable to find reference to the occurrence
of this orchid in India other than the type for Bulbophyllum spectabile
Rolfe was found in Assam with no other details given. In Myanmar (Burma),
plants were found on Mt. Victoria towards the Chin Hills, but no other
details were given. In Thailand, plants have been found in the northwest
mountains near Chiengmai at 4500--5000 ft. (1370--1520 m). Seidenfaden
(1992), indicated that the occurrence of this species in Vietnam is
questionable. Plants have been found in southwest China in southern Yunnan
Province where they grow on tree trunks in forests or on rocks along
ravines at 3300--8200 ft. (1000--2500 m).
