ORIGIN/HABITAT: Southeast Asia. In Burma, plants have been reported from
the regions near Tenasserim, Taunggyi, and Inle Lake. The habitat extends
eastward across the mountains of northern Thailand into Laos. Plants
usually grow in mixed forests at 3300-5600 ft. (1000-1700 m).
