Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F). This species is from Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia where it grows in bright filtered sun and get lots of rain. This particular plant is grown in Guam, mounted on a Shefflera tree.
Comments: Parent plant: A member of the Grastidium section of Dendrobium. Long pendant canes, solitary or paired flowers. Fragrant, with a sweet odor. May bloom in response to a drop in temperature. Medium-sized plant.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Widespread on the islands of Kusaie (Kosrae), Truk, and
Ponape (Pohnpei) in the Caroline Islands. Plants grow on mossy tree trunks
on Mt. Kubersoh, Ponape at about 2100 ft. (640 m).
