The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. Plants were discovered in Serra do São Fidélis
near Campos in the northeastern part of the state of Rio de Janeiro. They
grow near São Fidélis in the Paraíba do Sul River Valley at elevations
below 650 ft. (200 m).
