Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
258 plants (based on flask surveys done 12/17/2001 through 03/26/2003)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 8 - 45 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 12/17/2001 through 03/26/2003)
From one most recently surveyed flask 25 - 45 mm (03/26/2003)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. This orchid grows as an epiphyte in dry forest on
spiny acacia or cactus, often in dry and barren chaparral areas of coastal
Ecuador where humidity is low, days are warm, but moisture is available
from nighttime fog and dew. Plants are found in the coastal plains,
usually at elevations below 150 ft. (50 m), from near Manta in Manabi
Province southward to El Oro Province, with particularly numerous
collections in the vicinity of Guayaquil in Guayas Province.
