The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Philippine Islands. Found on northeastern Luzon in Nueva
Vizcaya Province as well as the provinces of Quirino, Isabela, and
northern Aurora. It is found in the Sierra Madre rainforests, where it
grows in the shade on tall trees, usually near streams, at about 3950 ft.
(1200 m).
