Incoming seed is examined to determine embryo count to help decide how much seed should be sown, and/or which capsule would be the best to sow. Permanent sample slides are also prepared. Seed is yellowish tan to the naked eye, and free flowing. Small seeds are windsock shaped, straight, and have tiny sized irregularly-shaped pale embryos toward the pointed end which are 1/2 the length of the seed.
