Incoming seed is examined to determine embryo count to help decide how much seed should be sown, and/or which capsule would be the best to sow. Permanent sample slides are also prepared. Each separate package of seed is examined because these are generally from separate capsules, which is what we request from our donors.

TN7489
Number of capsules harvested:  6

Seed Assay Number:   6560
Packet Code Number:   1A06560GM
Harvest date:   09/04/2012
Received as:   Dry capsule
Date Received:   09/08/2012
Number of Capsules Combined:   1
Comments:   Packet received was a folded coffee filter.
Capsule had split and its contents have made contact with its exterior.
Seed is white to the naked eye, and fluffy. Only a very small quantity of seed was received. Tiny seeds are long and very thin, sometimes curved, and have no embryos. Because of the rarity of the plant, we are sowing them anyway in case there is an embryo or two.
Seeds that appeared to have
good embryos, by count:
  0%
