Incoming seed is examined to determine embryo count to help decide how much seed should be sown, and/or which capsule would be the best to sow. Permanent sample slides are also prepared. Each separate package of seed is examined because these are generally from separate capsules, which is what we request from our donors.

Comments:		Seed was packaged in a white paper bag. Capsule had split and its contents have made contact with its exterior. Seed is pale yellow to the naked eye, and extremely fluffy. Small seeds are long, have one blunt end, and have small sized elongated very pale embryos toward the pointed end which are 3/4 the length of the seed when present. Seeds with bad or no embryos are much smaller.
