Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). It is an easy one for growing under lights. In a greenhouse, low light is best. I'd give a little more shade than I give to Phalaenopsis. Lots of water, excellent drainage, medium fertilizer, slight winter rest, blooms in summer.
Comments: Parent plant: This plant could be considered miniature.

The origin/habitat information below is supplied courtesy of Charles and Margaret Baker
The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Brazil. This orchid was discovered in the state of Paraná
and is now reported to also occur in the neighboring state of Santa
Catarina. Specific habitat elevation was not reported, but Pabst & Dungs
(1975-1977) indicated that this species is found in the cool, moist
mountains of southeastern Brazil, and the McQueens (1993) indicated that
these plants require approximately the same conditions as Promenaea
xanthina. We have estimated the habitat elevation based on this
information, but the resulting climate table and cultural suggestions
should be used somewhat cautiously until the actual habitat elevation has
been reported.
