The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sulawesi. Plants were originally discovered on Palu Bay,
near the town of Palu, on the northwest coast of the island. The plants
were growing at 3600-3950 ft. (1100-1200 m) in open grassland where they
received almost full sun throughout the day. Rainfall in the area where
the plants were collected is reported to be about 100 in. (2540 mm) per
year.
